So what's next after the Senate passed the National Health Bill?

Mamaye Nigeria is collaborating with HERFON under the auspices of the Health Sector Reform Coalition to discuss the issues germane to the implementation of the National Health Bill that the senate recently passed. During a thematic panel that will hold by 10:00am on March 6 2014 at Fountain Hall of Rockview Royale in Wuse II, Abuja, health and faith-based stakeholders will discuss the theme - “National Health Bill – Delivering on commitments to achieve health for all Nigerians and in particular mothers and children under 5”.Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will lead the discussion, and he will be sharing his experiences on the journey to getting the National Health Bill passed at the Senate. Honourable Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, Chairman, House Committee on Health, House of Representatives will also be discussing how it will go with Members on the floor of the House.Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, had said that the new bill, when finally passed into law, would help Nigeria to achieve universal health service, guarantee improvement in the health sector, regulate healthcare practice and promote professionalism.
