The MamaYe Ghana team is delighted to welcome Derick Adogla as the new Digital Advocacy Associate for the campaign.Derick will be producing content for the MamaYe Ghana website and social media platforms to empower people through better access the maternal and newborn health evidence, and spread the word on how people can help saves the lives of mothers and babies.Derick joins the MamaYe Ghana team with far-reaching expertise in Journalism, Public Relations, web content and social media management. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies (First Class Honours) from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a Masters in Communication Studies from the University of Ghana.Derick says he is excited to form part of the MamaYe campaign, a cause close to his heart.“When a woman becomes a mother, it’s such a joy to watch her behold her newborn baby. Pregnancy should not be a death penalty. It should continue to be a joyful period in the life of a family”.Derick believes a coordinated open conversation will place all hands on deck in demanding accountability from not only the Government and healthcare providers, but in all Ghanaians, who have an important role to play in ensuring maternal and newborn survival.Welcome Derick!
