Benson John

Benson John is a maternal, neonatal and child health activist. As a Data Coordinator he is responsible for supporting the strengthening of data systems in zonal health offices and reproductive health units, coordinating evidence strategy and inputs, delivery of operational plan plus dissemination and sharing of lessons learned.

Having experienced the pain of losing a neonate niece, Benson hopes to save lives of mothers and babies with the use of evidence. He has worked with the department of Mathematical Sciences of Chancellor College as a Statistics Demonstrator and the National Youth Council of Malawi. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Demography and Statistics from University of Malawi-Chancellor College.

QuIC (Quality of Institutional Care) is a telephone-based approach to assessing the readiness of facilities to provide quality Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care services. It collects analyses and presents data quickly, so results are available for immediate action.
