cMPDSR Endline Report-Kaduna, Nigeria

In January 2022, E4A-MamaYe began working with the Kaduna State government and Population and Reproductive Health Initiative (PRHI) to design and implement a sustainable and scalable community Maternal, Perinatal, Death Surveillance & Response (c-MPDSR) model in Soba Local Government Area in Kaduna State. This report presents findings and analysis from an evaluation of the project.

Niger State BHCPF Scorecard

The Niger State Accountability Mechanism for Maternal and Newborn Child Health develops scorecards to track implementation of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) in the State. They also produce an evidence brief which highlights performance of service delivery indicators against financial indicators and develop call to actions for policy makers. E4A-MAMAYE STORY: LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS FOR ACCOUNTABILITY

Women and girls make their communities thrive when they have access to good quality health services. The E4A-MamaYe project has been working to improve maternal and newborn survival in sub-Saharan Africa since 2012. We have learned that building local partnerships that connect health advocates with the media, government and health professionals gives them the power to hold decision makers to account for improving women's and children's health.

State-Led Accountability Mechanisms (SLAMs): trust and multi-sectoral Action

Since 2013, E4A-MamaYe has supported selected states in Nigeria to establish State Led Accountability Mechanisms (SLAMs). These mechanisms are multi-stakeholder coalitions comprised of government, health professional associations, media, civil society and traditional institutions.
